This week we learned about the plant life cycle of milkweed! We discussed dissemination, germination, and how the monarch species depends on the leaves for their protection. This plant is the sole source of food for monarch butterflies (when they are caterpillars) and milkweed bugs.
The kids colored their own milkweed plants and had a blast examining the leaves under a microscope! I love being able to provide a fun science learning environment for children!
